so guess what i saw in the mailbox today when i came back from a visit to the princeton review office? a postcard! but not just from anyone. it was a postcard, sent from new york, by a friend that i met at summer school. to many people, that isn't really a big thing. but it really made my day. i don't usually recieve mail either, and just the fact that a friend, who i wasn't really close to, actually spent the time to write me a postcard, means more than enugh.

harvard summer school 2006

i still can't believe i'm back in shanghai. just remembering the smallest detail about harvard is painful now. how nostalgic. i feel like i've lived in canaday hall A (the best dorm ever, by the way) for nearly two years, even though it was only 7 weeks. and even though i only left it three days ago, it feels like 3 years. it really is surprising how dorms can make friends so much closer. i miss it so much it hurts, so sad i'm back in shanghai and not at cambridge that tears won't even flow anymore when i cry. i miss everything, even the worst things: annenberg, the heat and humidity, the stairs. i miss my boring classes and the bunk beds is share with gabby, the common room the guys always trash, the freedom. i miss walking around the beautiful campus and living off junk food and chinese take outs. but most of all, i miss the people.
